Unfortunately, I have to have my Pulsar2 Plus serviced. It is dead as a doorknob. Ive been working with customer support (Thanks Jens Ohlig) and tried all of their suggestions with no success, so it has to be sent in for repair. Im just curious if anyone has had to do this (in the USA), how long it took to get it back, and if it was expensive. It is being sent to Creamware in New York.

I dont know what happened to the board, it just quit one day. It is not being recognized by the OS (which has been reinstalled on a reformatted HD) or the bios. All contacts have been cleaned, it has been tried in a different PC, it has been tried in all pci slots with no other boards installed (except video), there are no visible arc marks on the board, and there hasnt been any power surges (it is on a UPS anyway). I hadnt changed anything in the pc for about 8 months prior. Very upset over this (not at creamware) because the heart of my studio is dead and I am now having to pay for studio time at a friends to comlete customers projects.

Thanks,

i would expect it to take 3 or 4 weeks, at least, longer if it ends up going to germany first. it might happen much quicker. i had things going in a week and a half once, but i thought that was exceptional. i know a guy who does service for fender, korg, yamaha, etc. and his turn around is 4 weeks.....sorry.
