Can anybody help me?
I am using 2 Scope Professional cards and I have recently had problems after installing the new version of Gigastudio 3 Orchestra. The system is Pentium 4 3.4 GHz, 2 GB RAM, Asus Motherboard. I am also using a Creamware Sync Plate. I was previously using Gigastudio 2.5 with exactly the same system and it worked very smoothly. I have disabled hyperthreading and tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for the scope cards, and the scope software. I have also uninstalled Gigastudio and reinstalled it, and performed all the WinXP tweaks listed on the TascamGiga website. It is a strange problem because in all other respects the Creamware cards seem to be installed ok, and are working normally (DSP synths/effects and I/Os are all ok). Before and after I reinstalled the drivers the scope software and the Win XP hardware setup indicated that everything was installed fine. It is only when I try and load Gigastudio that I get problems. When I try to do this I get the following error messages in this order:

"The following plugin,
'C:WINDOWSsystem32regwicz.dll' crashed the system. Gigastudio will now
disable this plugin"

"Load IP Lib error
No IP Lib DLL was found in the waterfall procedure"

"Scope Driver Ioctl (1036) returned error code -99"

"Cannot start software because board(s) or driver not properly installed,
please check installation"

After this it crashes and quits. I have tried to contact Tascam several times over the last week but they have not replied to my e mails or phone messages, so at the moment I cannot use Gigastudio at all. I have looked elsewhere on the PlanetZ forum and it seems that other people are using a similar system to me and not experiencing any problems. Does anybody have any idea what is going on, or what I can try to fix this? Thanks for your help.

The agent from you sequencer scans the whole HD for plugins...probably because you installed SFP without specifying a VST folder and that seems to be the problem.
