Hi. this isn't a usual click & pop style noise. it sounds like the internal clock is appearing in the analog and digital outs (XP pro). It also appeared in win98, but more like every two seconds. I have implemented all the tips in musicxp.net

thanks for any insight

What is your sync setting? If you playback your sound from the cards' outs then it should be set to 'master'.

What sound are you trying to produce when you hear the clicks? Is it a mixdown of audio (WAV's) that can cause the clicks?

Try to play an SFP synth, as simple as possible, with all effects switched off. Play it from the SFP midi keyboard, just to eliminate trouble caused by attached midi keyboards.
That way the sound will be generated on the pulsar board and most likeley will be output directly on the outputs.

found the problem. Main culprit was my external SCSI zip! computer was polling it I guess. Another candidate (but not as loud an interference) was my behringer ADAT in/out. With both devices disconnected from power board, no repetitive clicking present

thanks for your input, it forced me to investigate further (scope not even started, noise persisted)

Behringer ADAT i/o that causes clicking? I have one here (ADA8000), and the only click it makes comes from the powerbutton
having master/slave problems? feedback loop?
