SCOPE card has to be master for Z-Link, as far as I can tell.
If anyone has figured out a way to do this (word clock -> A16 Ultra word clock slave -> SCOPE card Z-Link slave or word clock slave), please do share!
EDIT: Oh, but if you mean that word clock is master, SCOPE card is word clock slave, and A16 Ultra is Z-Link slave -- then that works fine.

I tried to set A16 as ZLink master and Scope as slave but couldnt get it to work. I asked sonic8 (english distributor for creamware). They said it wasnt possible. It says you can in the manual?!

the A16 manual state that A16 ultra as Zlink Slave. Page 29 if you have the old Blue A16 Manual and page 20 on the new manual.
you must have read this wrong.
A16 as word clock Master (ADATs not Zlink) Page 27 blue manual

Hello friends....
Well.. I'm very surprised some dealer said A16Ultra will not be master for scope...
I've used A16Ultra as a clock master for SFP 4.0.., I've also used Scope for master my A16Ultra through Z-link.., and I've also used both (A16 and Scope) to be slave of an external clock (a digital mixer).
Hope this helps.

if the syncplate is the master, there must be a wordclock source(cable) plugged into it, as well as all the other wordclock capable devices(a16).
if scope is master THROUGH the syncplate, then a wordclock cable must be attached to the a16 from the syncplate.
