Ehi, men! I'm a rookie ...
I got a problem: i have a pulsar II with Luna 2496, soft 3.1; my system is:
P4 2.8GH, MOBO p4C800 Deluxe with 1 MB RAM, HT and ACPI on (NO PROBLEM!!), video ATI Radeon 9200, XP pro with SP2. Recently i bought DI-Port Mindprint: i used its out spdif and pulsars's in digital ADAT. There are many crackles in rec and play with my Behringer B-2 Pro! This doesn't happen with analog out of DI-Port and the analog in of Luna! What i don't understand!?

which unit is digital master and which is slave? in this setup, scope should probably be configured as slave to sp/dif in set/samplerate window.

i'm using roughly the same setup (same mobo, pulsar 2, Mindprint di-port and behringer ada8000)
I tried all of these as master, but heard no difference. so decided the pulsar2 had to be master. all are connected optically.
but it never hurts trying out different masters in your setup.
to eliminate the input-channels being the culprit, you could try recording some scope synths. If they crackle it's the recording process (btw, you have to disable the promise raid controller of your mobo - it is done in bios)
what happens if you play some ordinary wav-files (cd-rips or so). Any disturbance?
good luck
Rob

 can't the masters fight it out for themselves? Duh, and they call themselves masters...
