I found the tutorials pretty well useless since there were so few pictures to show what you were really meant to be doing.

Instead I just took a very simple patch and starting replacing bits of it, adding a few new bits in etc. The old trial and error system...

... don't even know what's in that folder

honestly, I would visit a public library (if available) and see what they have from the 60s/70s when modular synthesis was a hot topic
it's fun to read that historic stuff (lot's of predictions and phantasies plus pics of gear included) and often the illustrations are more focused.

cheers, Tom

They're in the manual under "modular 2 tutorials" - 3.1 manual, not 4, methinks.

there's some reading on these links that may be of use

http://www.cim.mcgill.ca/%7Eclark/nordm ... k_toc.html

http://www.modularsynth.co.uk/ and http://www.cwmodular.org/ are cw mod sites by respected Z modders.

BTW, once you get your head around it, you need Flexor

heh, i also found those tutorial rather unhelpful...

once you get past basic rules of hooking thing up (esync etc), and those are explained pretty good in modular manual, stuff from links posted by Wayne is much better read.
personally i like nord modular book and SOS Synth Secrets series (links in links' section of Ben Walkers' site).
also, analyzing how cool sounding patches are made is good way.
here personal favourites are works of Alfonso d'Amora and Adern crew (Eyal and Muze), the latter available with Flexor unfortunately.
