is this a problem? when i try to start cubase it gives me the following error:

Samplerate could not be set. This may be due to the sampleclock bieng set to external sync.

would this have anything to do with the metronome click not sounding? when i use sx with sfp open the metronome does not sound... yet when i close sfp, it clicks fine...

when you open sfp, you don't have sx and scope properly setup. when you close sfp, it is in the default version of xtc mode.....

go into the setup menu in SX and make sure SCOPE ASIO is your driver. If it's already selected, select it again and apply changes.

Also, you might already know this but you need to have opened your SFP project prior to opening SX. You'll get the error message when you load/unload SFP project while running SX. The error message means SX lost contact with SFP's ASIO module.

... and probably you have to set SFP to master mode (in the samplerate preferences box)

it's giving me this error when trying to select the cw asio:

not all selected devices in current configuration were succesfully started with their selected options.

if this card is currently configured to accept a digital signal, and no digital signal is present, please either reconfigure the card to ude an "internal clock", or apply a digital signal, or if possible switch this port to accept an analog input.

If I am not using an external clock source, then how do I setup the samplerate in sfp? If I set it to master, then what do I select for the other stuff?

opt. ADAT
opt. S/P-DIF

and

AES/EBU
ADAT A
ADAT B
S/MUX A
S/MUX B

I know I don't want any of the adat's cause I am not using those ports... but I am not using anything external for a clocksource. I don't even have anything hooked up? I just have my l-r out hooked up to my amp... so why is it even asking me for any of this?

You don't need to bother other features when you just hit master. The other settings are for those who use 'slave' mode
