Hi all,
Well just curious on your opinions, in regards to programing drums in our current age of technology, do you think using a device like an MPC has any advantage over using a software base drum app like Battery, DR-008?
Reason I ask was that some one had made a post on the cubase forums asking for a good drum app, one person chimed in saying there is a reason the pro's still use hardware like the MPC, so it got me thinking.
I have an MPC-2000 and an SP1200 sitting here collecting dust these days, was thinking of selling one of the two off maybe since for a while now I have used battery exlusivly in my music since its just so much easier having hundreds of samples to choose from on the hard drive rather than a zip drive or floppy disk.
SO whats your opinions on the choices, do you or should I say would you prefer to work with a hardware based samples or do you think the benefits of a VSTi far outweigh any positivs of the hardware counterparts?
Cheers!
