Hi.
I have a big problem with Zarg Proph@t.
When i try to load this devices i get this error message :
"A communication error with scope (Board 0) has occured. This problem can be corrected by reloading the dsp's.Do u want to try this?"
YES NO

If i press YES ,after a while,i get the same message, clicling YES another time and scope don't make any sound! After that i can't load protected devices (creamware, timeworks etc.)
but free devices are loaded (if anyway no sound goes out from the scope).Checking DSP LOAD i have no one of my 3 boards listed!!!

If i press NO when i get for the second time the message "A communication error..." i get the following error pop-up :

"PepAtom::SetLocalValue:Cannot Set Value not found or illegal offset or wrong type in midi contrFilter i/o 7 (RabgeCoff)"
If i press OK :

"exception!No error description"

pressing another time OK :

"System Error!:the hardware will no longer respond to any changes , but u might be able to save your project before terminating this application!".

I get this error mesage even if i press NO when i get for the first time the error message "A communication error with scope (board 0) has occured....".

I've contact John Bowen but probably we need more help coz John have a single board system and this problem seems caused by a multiboard system such mine (i have a powerpulsar,a pulsar 2 and an XTC for a total of 27 DSP's).
Im on win XP SP1,no ACPI and no conflicts between IRQs.
I've try to change sample frequency and reloading dsp's but nothing!!!

Somebody can help me?

See ya.

hi!

i don't know if this is somehow related, but once i have changed cw cards in different pci slots and then i was getting error while loading device Z-link Source, before that everything works ok.

All i do was change back cw cards like where before and eveything was fine.

Did you change any positions of your cw cards on motherboard ?

i have also 3 connected , but less dsp power (12)
and i have all synths installed from cw now

Hey...!.. A little trick that helped me several months ago. I had the same message, so I decided to clean the STDM connections and cables and voilá both cards started to work wonderfully.

Hope this helps.

hi, I had this with minimax and some other devices, too.
sometimes the scope.rgy becomes corrupted for no reason. try to reimport your scope.rgy file (the one, which lists all keys). do this by moving the scope.rgy to another place and reimport it from there, when the dialogue for keys comes up.
You can also watch the file in a text editor and look, if there are correct carrier returns.

It can also happen, if your clock signal is weak.
