This is a song mixed completly in scope.

I also tried to master it, but in the end it would proberly go to a professionel mastering lab.

Can you point out my mistakes in the mix?

Thanks for lending a ear...

Couldn't pick any technical problems over here.
Really nice job!

Hi there noah,

Everything sounds pretty great on my end aside from one thing I noticed right off the bat, when the rhythm guitar comes in at 00:46 it felt like the load vox kind of got sucked into the mix but then shortly after resurfaced to its proportional position, aside from that this is a cool song, I cant understand anything she is saying but I really like the music

Another great job as always!

Cheers!

oh, I realized that I'd put a strange EQ setting on my speaker bus...Got a lot better mix now...I'm astounished by the quality of mixing in SFP, it sounds very good to me. The summing is much better than Nuendo that I use normally, and then maybe 5 or 6 busses in STM1632. I quess i'm gonna remix my projects completly in SPF.

New mix: http://www.thalamusic.dk/remixes/mp3/fi ... ASTER2.mp3

Initial mix: http://www.thalamusic.dk/remixes/mp3/fi ... MASTER.mp3

The first mix of the song done by another engineer in protools: http://www.thalamusic.dk/remixes/mp3/fi ... otools.mp3

Basic pitch...I found that spot you did mention. I have a sidecompressor and the mix bus to duck a little when the vocal kicks in. The settings were a little extreme. Anyway...Do you speak danish???

Thank you for listening.

Heya Noah,

Nope no danish here, I wish I was multi lingual, hell some times I find I cant speak my own language lol, but I liked the track, nice music, is that you on the drums?

What happened with the summer time jam with your girlfriend, I am curious to hear that one when its done, I liked the soothing vibe of that aswell

Cheers!

EDIT: Ackk, I just listened to the protools mix, something doesnt sound right in that mix for some reason, almost like its squashed with too much compression before the bass comes in in the start of the track, just something sounded off too me, welp off to listen to the new version

I agree with basic in that there seems to be something odd with the compression at the start of the pro-tools mix. It seems to jump around a bit. As the track moves along though it doesn't seem to be as obvious. I still like the pro-tools mix out of the lot though. It sounds like the person in the driver's seat has gone for a darker sound which I quite like. It's a little less live sounding (compared to the others), especially with the drums. Everything sort of sits better IMO.
Very interesting comparing the various mixes. Thanks for posting these up.
Cheers.

If, and I mean if, I mixed this, I would put the snare either more forward in the mix or give it more body, take the snare off, or use a slap reverb. The track also needs more bottom end, may be kick or bass.
BUT, I didn't mix it, and that's only me...
Very good job.
