Here is part of the jazz tune I was talking about. To remove the bass guitar noise I couldn't use gating because the finger picking on the bass was very soft. I ended up doing heavy eq and a notch filter at 50Hz (we work at 50hz in OZ).

i didn't go as deep in bass equing like you in my stadium of producing. i didn't have to gate the bass till yet, the noise was acceptable in my ears...

but nice sound man, i just began ugly moving in front of my notebook which btw. makes more noise than the bassline
