I'm on an older setup (pIII 800 256 ram) and i'm fine if i don't load the big cymbals - put'em on later

Works fine on 2000p & 5000.

Great sounding kit, mate, and well captured.

I've got them both and would be happy to mail cd's within North America.

PM me with your address and e-mail address if you want a copy and cannot do the download.

it sounds great! I'll be doing a Battery kit conversion btw. for those who are interested (and too lazy to do it themselves )

btw. maybe it would be cool if some of the "real" drummers here could give some tips or tutorials on how to midi-program realistic drums.

Another mirror has been added to the private forum.
And blazesboylan's mirror now has ZIP files instead of EXE's.

Cheers,

Thanks John.

Just a quick note though: I wasn't able to fit both kits on my FTP server, so it's just the "Normal" one, in .zip format. I can swap in the "Ambient" .zip file on request.

(Also see Micha's post if you're on a Mac.)

Ok, i added a note to the topic, but left both links there, in case you do swap them.

As a repented drummer I can share some tips to give life to those samples.

Some basic sampler programming can make a big difference on the final result as well as on the time needed to achieve it...

Hello to all!

First of all, a BIG BIG Thank You to Stige! It is very kind of you to take the time and the effort to produce all that and then offer it to us for free!! I am amazed by your generosity!

Now... I will be out of home for a month or so, and I didnt have the time to read the all 6 pages of the thread at the moment..

So, in which formats is it available (STS and Battery)? Has anyone converted it to Kontakt?

Could somebody in Europe send me a CD with the drumkits? (I am in Greece with a PSTN connection at 42kbps) And how could I pay you the cost of the CD and the postage? With Western Union would it be allright?

Thank you

Hi Rodos, mail me your full address.

No problem to pay anything, the cost is really small with prioritary mail in europe and the cd is cheap. I will zip the .exe's with a password I'll give you....

ha, they are sts.

Yasu

Thanks all for your kind words, you're welcome.
Just checking if everything is going as planned. How is download, have everybody willing got them without problems? Is download for mac users ok too?

Rhodos1979, they are STS programs, but many users might prefer to use them with other samplers. You can ask for programs.
I made the velocity mapping correspond roughly with the loudness of original hits. You can look them as an example, or make them suit best for your playing style.

cheers

actually, you can download the ambient kit Battery file here:

http://www.sputnikkproductions.com/publ ... attery.kit

I copied the settings as well as I could from the STS programs. The kit includes the second snare, just use drag and drop with "all but midi" selected to swap the cells of snare 1 with those of snare 2
