Hi,
I use a Tascam DM 24 via 2x ADAT (16 CH) and a Pulsar1. All works fine, but sometimes the system is going out of sync (noise, no signal). After restarting scope 4.0 all will be normal until the next time.

CULS2-C, PIII 1000MHz, Matrox G450, all tweaked, standard mode.

The DM 24 has a BNC-sync-connection. Does it make sense to add a sync board to prevent loosing syncronisation? Or is the sync card only to sync a recorder?

Thanks and bye

Christian

yes, you can use a sync card but you might want a word clock generator to be sure of having a good signal to sync to.

before spending all that money, you might experiment to see if having the tascam as master helps. naybe one adat port will work better than another as a clock source....

Hi,

I use the DM 24 as Master, changing the ADAT-Ports I didn't try.
What is a word clock generator? An external hardware device? I never heard of a standalone device.

Bye

Christian
