Hi,

i installed a Audiosystem for a friend of mine. I added a Powerpulsar Creamware card with scope 4.0 - everything went well. After that i installed Gigasampler with all patches for Win XP - all things went well too. If i am loading an midi instrument i can play it with this internal virtual keyboard by klicking the bars, but if i try to play it with his Midi keyboard which is connected to the powerpulsar - nothing is happening.

It detects no input (the littlekeyboard doesn´t blink red).

What could be the problem? i tried to change the rount of the card and changed some gigasampler setting but nothing is working. I load as default the gigasampler project in scope 4.0

Got anyone a idea?

While its not terribly clear from your description where the problem lies, it might be that you need to route the signal within SFP.

Assuming that you have the Giga instrument assigned to see 'Creamware midi 1' then inside SFP connect the "MIDI A Source" to "Sequencer Midi Dest 1". This will route the external input through the Powerpulsar's dsp and out to the operating system where Giga will see the data on the proper sequencer i/o.

the sfp is set up like you said - it is the default of the gigasampler preset.

I think the problem is that gigasample gets no input signal from the keyboard which is connected on the midi in port.

If i change the preset by using a blue synth then i can play the keyboard - but only outside from gigasampler.

What do you mean 'change the preset by using a blue synth'?

changed preset / project means that i wired the bluesynth to the mixer for checking my audio hardware. It work well - but using midi in gigasampler won´t work.

Does the GSIF have a midi input ?

maybe someone could build me an project for scope 4 and Gigasampler

you have to set 'Scope midi' in Gigasampler's settings as the midi input - dunno where it is in the current version.
But since you ask you probably haven't seen that dialog yet and chances are good that some M$soft midi blah occupies the top of the list - as usual, as it was the first to be installed with the OS...

good luck, Tom
