Hello!

I try to load the stereo version of Vinco (D-Compressor and ISON too) in XTC but the interfaces do not appear. The mono versions appear ok.

I have the devices in the SFPXTCDevices folder and in VstpluginsXTC and the corresponding DLLs...

Is that the way it should be? Or am I missing something?

Hi Rodos.

I have two things you can try. First, look into a file called scopevst.cfg. It contains the names of all th folders where XTC expects to find your dev files.

Secondly, have you tried loading the Vinco and Ison in a MultiFX module? I´ve noticed that some devices can be loaded just as they are into XTC, others simply demand you load a MultiFX module first, then the device into the MultiFX.

Hope this helps.

I have customized to my paths the scopevst.cfg but the problems still persists (with only these three devices in stereo mode).

They all load OK as inserts in the MultiFX. Maybe I have to do it only this way....

Thank you for your kind reply Nisse!

BTW, does SX seem to crash more often when using XTC mode?...

According to Gonzofts incredible work on how to get XTC to function with SX you always have to load pulsar effects through a MultiFX module. (I know it works without sometimes) Its something we just have to get used to, its not that difficult really.

Gonzofts Holy XTC Commandments:
"5. Always use the MultiFX modules when inserting more than one effect into channels in Cubase SX. Save the preset of the MultiFX, else Cubase won't remember the settings of the effects inserted into it the next time you open the program (SX). It seems that every host remembers only the settings of one instance below and effects inserted into the MultiFX are two instances below SX. "

The entire work can be read here:

Regarding more frequent crashes in XTC mode, I havent noticed this personally.

Happy XTC:ing

Save the preset using the "store preset" fucntion in SX you mean? Or saving it through MultiFX, as a MultiFX preset?

Thank you for Gonzoft's article. I had seen it and I could not locate it...

Thank you
