The whole piece was made with home made modII patches on my luna 2 card. I had a lot of fun emulating the birds, which were made with a very simple patch : 1 osc, 1 filter, 3 lfos, and that's about it. Enjoy!

great sounds! birds sound really nice. Maybe reverberating them a knotch or two would have added a bit more space. (maybe having a reverb layer and a foreground layer) Interesting pad sound too. It's got a mystic, yet pure and clean sound to it, definitely provides imagery of a great, maginificent forest, filled with aged trees carrying lots of earth's energy.

Great idea how it all settles down to cricket sounds. Kind of sad how the pads seem to settle to a minor temperament tho. Personally would have had it build up to a more energetic, positive tone. Just personal preference tho. Great piece!

wow, this track really hurts my hearing.
Those birds around 2 to 3kHz I guess, went directly into my ears and gave me pain.

A reverb as Ken suggested would be nice to open up the enviroment.

Yes, the track has a bitter taste, some kind of loneniness or isolation.
All seems to be like somebody is waiting for something. A very inspiring track. THX

I love these bird sounds! Can you share the patch? I want to play them myself!

I'll try adding a bit more depth in a future mix... I didn't want to drown the birds too much in reverb, I used delays to locate them in space.

Chris, sorry for your ears... When I listen to this piece I feel serenity and peace, but we all have personal perceptions, and that's fine! I wasn't feeling bitter at all when i composed it, rather quite happy!

I'll try to get this patch and share it with you, otherwise it is very easy to recreate, amazing how simple things can create interesting and beautiful results...

This is one of the most satisfying pieces I have ever heard. It would be fun to mix. I would add a lot of reverb and some long digital delay with ample feedback. This is minimal music so you don't have to worry about it getting muddy.
