Hello,
i'm gonna buy myself a brand new pc. Totally unaware about actual does and dont's when choosing cpu, mobo, hd, memory etc. What's cool at the moment, working with audio, and what's not?
Regards,
Manoah

just go with quality. when spending $1000, $100 either way won't matter except to your sanity. personally, these days it's all intel. the d865perl w/ a 3ghz p4 is pretty foolproof. i like to use the premium memory as well, usually corsair or mushkin. the cdrw is not as critical. look for a good buy from a reputable manufacturer and you shouldn't have any problems.
