I have a used Pulsar II, probably crop of '01. I can't use it in one of the pci slots because the bottom edge of the I/O plate hits against the top of the next PCI slot. My board is a common one, an ASUS A7N8X.

Anybody else have this problem?

It makes me wonder if some of these blue-screens we're getting, have to do with cards that aren't really seated all the way in.

Oops.
If you have a card seating problem, I believe you'd be having random crashes/restarts, freezing, possibly this blue-screen stop message:
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Not the blue-screen stop message,
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

It depends on how badly seated the card is

No, seriously, if the card is badly seated it might not power up.
