Hello people.

For some time now i havent been able to run USB2 on my DAW because of IRQ related issues it seems. But now i seem to get a "IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR EQUAL" blue creen error message even with USB disabled.

I mean with everything none essential on my MOBO disabled. And this only happened with Cubase SX running !!!!!

This happened 2 days ago.
I got a "no audio sync" error in Cubase then sudden "IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR EQUAL" screen the first time.

About 11 hours later i got a "audio engine" error then sudden "IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR EQUAL".

Im concerned....
Im really getting worried because im affraid that somethings wrong with my hardware.
If there is something wrong with my CW cards i'll "cry"....if there is something wrong with MOBO or other related systems i can take it easy.

But i have also had other problems....hardware problems....with my CW cards

Most times I get the IRQ not less or equal message, it has to do with drivers. Most often times video or audio card drivers. Try a reinstall (delete and reinstall) of the drivers and see what happens.

Sometimes it also means that some card is sharing IRQ with something it's not compatible with. Change slots and to find a combination that works.

If the setup used to work just fine, I'm guessing it's a damaged driver file. (could be wrong)

Microsoft has some info on the blue-screen "stop messages", such as Stop 0x0000000A or IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I was getting that one.
It's under "Common Stop Messages".
When I fixed it, I did everything else, too.
Re-seated my cards and STM cable, re-seated my memory and video card, downloaded my motherboard's latest driver set, changed the ACPI to Standard PC. So I'm not sure what was wrong. One of Creamware's Readme files also says you have to match the number of midi drivers in your projects with the number of them in windows device-manager card settings page.

Oh yeah, I just remembered. I used to get consistant IRQ not less or equal screen when my Yamaha DSP factory and Pulsar were seated in "bad" PCI slots. Switching them around solved the problem. Maybe it wasn't the combination between DSP factory and Pulsar as I moved both of them, but it seemed like switching around PCI slots worked. Tho it could be any of the other million of causes..

Type in "msinfo32" in your Run box, expand the hardware section then click on the IRQs section. You can capture the screen an then post it here. See my example (this is my PC at work):

I háve reinstalled drivers like mad....and im pretty shure now that refitting my cards should be the thing to do.

Well, first problem, your Ethernet card is sharing an IRQ with your AGP card. Solution: move ethernet card to other PCI slot.

Are the CW cards linked with S/TDM cable? If yes then you can set in BIOS the same IRQ for both cards. This might help too.

Also, ACPI is enabled I noticed, disabling it in BIOS would help.

I havent been succesfull in my atempts to make my CW boards share IRQ. And yes S/TDM cable is prescent.

Refering to the same info above:
About ACPI being enabled, it's because of the fact that iv'e "played around" with swithing "operations" to be able to force CW boarss to share IRQ. And yes i will disable it.
