So here is my attempt for electronic music.
This track is a not an old Berlin scool track, it´s a mixture of new and actual beats, synths, blips and beeps combined with old Vinyl drums loops and a heavy touch of Kraftwerk. (Spirit will like this, I guess)

On to the details:
6 sequeced synths:
4 Wave Weavers
1 Blue Matrix
1 GoBox for the Sub Drums
It was a heavy work to get control over all those sequenced synth, it´s tricky to control x/y panels with two knobs. And god knows how I tweaked my fingers last night.

4x Absynth2 for the pads and distorted lead

Kontakt for the Vinyl drum loops, Robot speech and the typical Kraftwerk hit

Samples come from the Kraftwerk sample CD Robots and Computers.

I used some Endorphins, MaxxBass and Enigma on the Sub drum track, SuperTap and Spektral delayfor the speech, some Cubase EQs

A quick mastering with C1,C4,S1,L2 hope the result fits for you.

cool, this is like the substance elektronica is made of. Smooth sound. Love the evolving pad sound that's kind of over the top. (the one that sounds Vangelis style) Really smooth, "adult" kinda sound.

Hey, maybe all of us should get together and do a "history of elektronica" kinda thing and compile it. hehe. Like a compilation of short clips of the most influential styles of each era.

Perhaps I'll download the track to listen to the samples I no longer have.

Ok, good song, really surprise when bass and batery come on, really good.

I guess we all have to thank NeilB that he gave you the sample cd.
This is really high end electro music with a dark touch.I love it.

Wow! This track is evil.

I´m quite certain that this will be the anthem played the day the robots and other vast powerful artificial intelligences take over the world. *nods*

And when they stand as the supreme rulers of the Earth they will say: "Chris made us do it!"

You're right Chris, I do like it a lot. My favourite sounds amongst this is the long pad reverb with pitch bend - lovely and expressive.

But when the bass and drums come in they are a lot more "usual" and take it back a few steps toward a more familiar feel. I felt it could have easily gone to a more etreme "weird" feel perhaps with more clunks and metal.

But this is not criticism - I very much enjoyed the track. It hardly felt like 8 minutes either, it easily holds up its length.

The feel I got was travelling through a huge future megalopolis and seeing signs and lights, things blinking, instructions flashing etc
