hi !
just want to know before re-insatll sfp if i can fix this, while i have lost sfp.exe from startup in msconfig,
i have load sfp.exe back, but now when starting windows i get sfp maximized,
can i fix that somehow by writing special attributes at the end of the line, so when starting windows sfp.exe is minimized and hide, like then when installing sfp for the first time ?
thanks

sfp.exe -s
loads startup project and minimizes sfp.

I feel stupid asking these questions, but I am used to Mac, not Windows... which is somewhat forgein to me...
how do you change the start up files in XP in the first place?
I tried going to the run window, bringing up the consol, and then adding a snap-in.... but that didn't work when i typed in sfp-s.exe both with and without the entire path

I'm not sure what you mean, but here is a shortcut you can try:
Click Start->Run and in the run box type "msconfig" then go to the StartUp tab. These are the files that are being loaded at start up.

yes, startup goes just like that,
start-run-msconfig-startup, here you can disable or enable programs which you want or don't want to load when XP starts or also other Win versions,
you can also go to ;
C:WINDOWSregedit.exe
then:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SOFTWARE - Microsoft - Windows - CurrentVersion - Run
i have there :
InitPulsar value "C:/Audio - Midi/Scope/app/bin/sfp.exe -s"
if you want minimized at startup type -s (which i was asking for

at the end, or maximized without -s
i regulary check at msconfig-startup if there are some viruses loading at startup or other unecessary things which i didn't install
someitmes my friends are calling me and say "my computer freezes or can't load anything", first thing i look for is msconfig and i see 10-15 programs loading at startup , sometimes more, then i disable mostly of them which i don't know , delete temp folders and some other stuff, then normaly goes just fine
i have there just pulsar enabled , all other stuff is disabled , you don't need to load anything else there, maybe if you have antivirus program or similar, but generaly it's better to be empty...
ok, have all nice time

Actually, removing the ' -s' seems to make the 'default' project load (maximised) on startup, as opposed to the 'startup' project.
