I have modular 2.Is it worth the money to update to mod 3 or is FLEXOR a better choice?

IMHO Flexor is the more interesting of the 2....it's nice to have all the extras in ModIII, but Flexor can really give your Mod Balls.
If you're into filters....get Flexor
If you're into really twisting things....get Flexor
If you're into any form of synthesis....get Flexor
....get Flexor!!!

Thanks.
OK your opinion is pretty clear to me.
Do you have mod 2 or 3?

I have both Mods and I agree on Kiminet's statement. If your budget doesn't allow both, then Flexor is more bang and fun - and that extra sound
Mod3 additions (over Mod2) are more on the administrative part of the patch.
They mostely do not 'sound' themselves, but enable certain structures and controls (simplyfied).
Needless to say they are essential for sophisticated modular setups - so highly recommended at the next best occasion.
cheers, Tom

I am no big patcher, but I vote Flexor too.

I have both......I got Mod III before Flexor,
but only coz Flexor wasn't around then.
As Astroman says, Mod III adds something a bit specialist.....definitely worth getting eventually, but Flexor is much higher in the instant gratification stakes.

Unfortunately, because Mod3 has a lot of utility modules that make things a lot easier with certain aspects of patching, a lot of pre-patched FleXor patches require it.

I think the correct answer is: Both!
Flexor isn't terribly expensive and getting it now is better than waiting until 2.0 (you'll save a few pennies).
ModIII might be handled with your SFP4 'upgrade' rebate?

I think darkr3zon had the answer. Mod III was a very uninspiring upgarde imho. The only reason to get it is to ensure you can open all the devices made by others.
If you intend only to make your own patches then I'd definiately say to forget ModIII and just go for Flexor.

Thanks for all the nice responding.
I´d better buy both and take the fight with my bank.
