I installed a new harddisk with a fresh system, with the disk jumpered as master.
Another disk, determined as slave, contains audio cd's and thelike.
So far so good.

I got this strange problem:
if I choose 'Restart' from the Special menu, the mac tries to find a system on the second (slave) disk, as if this is the master disk.
As there is no system on that disk, the computer shows an ?, and I have to force the machine to an turnoff.

If I choose 'Turn Off' from again the Special menu and let it turn off, and then again push the start button, everything starts as normal.
Also, if I push the startbutton for several seconds to force the machine to an turnoff, and then start again as usual, the mac finds the right master disk with the system files.

I spend hours to this annoying problem, I 3-double checked the jumper settings, I defined the startup disk in the controll panel, nothing.
A 'warm' restart does the mac overlook the master disk.

Anyone who has an idea?
