Take care, when you activate version 4. I got the ½price option in the shop. I thought I would save it for later. Today it is gone. I have no official answer yet. I will post back the answer, when I get one.

I was wondering about that. That's why I didn't push "Okay" yet.

Liquid Len reported, that if you reregister a board, where you have not used your ½price offer, with the same key as the first time, you may get back the chance to urchase a ½ price plug-in for that board.

It would not make sence for CWaudio to make such an offer without time limit.

That would make most people to "save" their ½ price offer until they anyway was going to buy something.

In the time limited way of making the offer, they also get something from this (a bigger sale) like its usually seen with all other shops.

So its a one time offer.

By the way - i hope this offer will last until 1.may. - Since i dont have money at all at this moment

Edit: meaning that i have to wait with SFP4.0. But i will manage.

when i registered, it said something like, with red letters, "now since you're registered, go to the shop where prices are cut in half" not in so many words but at least something like that.

i thought "great! now next time i log in and continue to the shop these prices will remain until i've made my one-time-only purchase."

i don't think i was the only one who reasoned like that.

this policy only causes confusion imo, people are first and foremost going for the download and install of 4.0.
not really to make a limted time purchase decision as well.

i guess i wont be registering for SFP4 just yet, until this bloody confusion is cleared up.

why are things always so unclear with Creamware?

Yes someone please clear this up. I want to register next week. What is the time limit? You have to buy at the moment you register?

The answer is to sit back, relax, and let the brave few trailblazers sort everything out.

Then in a couple of weeks the procedure and situation will be clear.

3.1 has worked fine for a long time now, I really can't see why there's this incredible desperation to upgrade.

of course you have to...
first it's written in bold letters 'immediately after' and we all know from the demos what that means

second, how do you think the shop software will (be able to) handle your visit later ?
CWA declares it a donation for the registration effort, as such it's bundled to the online session when registration takes place (and you're properly identified).

Please, don't wonder about rewriting the software for your convenience - it just wouldn't pay off
The offer is a legitimate business move and not public welfare.

cheers, Tom

ps: I completely agree with Spirit - and my next device will be Wavelenght OP8, at the full price of course

I guess the 50% price is only valid for that one time session after you've registered a board. It would've been nice if they'd told us that!!

Well, they mentioned that!
Maybe only at the german version, but i was reading: "directly after the registration you have the chance...".
I didn't purchased something, because i allready own the devices i want. For sure they could made a more clearer hint to that. Anyway, my red highlighted header, that the shop is switched to 50% mode is also gone.

my story:
i have two board.
i got the codes for both, and activated both pulsar1 and luna. then i get the
"50% discount on 1 product" write.
OK! great!!!
"let's go to planetz and see what's happening in the community"
i read this tread. "damn, the offer is limited, let's buy the mixer extension 1 NOW"!!
now ihave the mixer extension1.oxe file on my hdd.

but i wanted to make a try... i re-tried to insert the activation code for the Luna (the second card i previously registered).
now i got another credit for 50% discount, and the shop prices are still at half price...
unfortunately, i have no more money to buy anything.... nor i can spend for now another 100 euro in creamware stuff... if so i'd buy the minimax immediately...
+
althought, it's very strange...

My 1/2 Price status disappeared on me as well, but just re-registering my one board bought it back. I used the same codes that I got from the rego email and just went through the process again to get it back.

you must admit that it's much more exiting to discover it this way than by a lame 'official' announcement...

Weird, maybe they haven't decided how long the special offer will last. I have always said the lower the prices the higher the profit so let's reward them and maybe they will keep this up.
