Would someone be kind enough to post either here on in FAQ's (or direct me please) some steps to take to get marginal improvements in buss capacity. soon I will buy a fat computer with a rocking chipset but till then I need to squeeze some more tracks through before I get the PCI error. Are there things to turn off in windows? Does CPU strain also increase the frequency of the PCI overload? I am trying to keep the computer cool. That kind of stuff. We appreciate your experience.

Subject: higher memory bandwidth?

might be a solution to run the ram at shorter latencies, like 2-2-2 (if your ram supports them).

i´m using a bx chipset, and as i got a pci-overflow (yet my only one), i changed the cas to ras latency and other timing paramters to run that little bit faster, and that solved the problem for me. no pci-overflow with the same project.

might be that memory bandwidth plays an important role with these pulsar-pci-related problems...
