Hi all,

Well I have tried encoding to WMA 64k with a few different devices including Nuendo2, SX, SoundForge etc and it all produces all these whacky artifacts, does any one know of a decent one that can do the job a produce a clean sounding 64k file with out all the hats and hits splatting all over the place?

Any help would be appreciated, I searched the net last night some, but there are just WAY to many out there, to make an informed decision..

Hmm, I export WMA files from Nuendo, mostly 192 bit but also 128 and 96. I have tried 64, and hell yeah, it doens't sound the same, but you might not expect much at these low bit rates (still much better than mp3).

First off, be sure that you have version 9 of the codec installed, it is a big improvement from version 8 soundwise.

Whatever host application you will use to export, the results will be the same, becourse the host software rely on the same ms codec.

P.S. In case you didn't know: Microsoft has their own encoding software for WMAs. grap it here http://www.microsoft.com/windows/window ... fault.aspx

Thanks for the heads up, I am trying to download that now, but there site is a snail, 15kb a sec =/ Ill make sure I have the version 9 codec aswell, though I hope it gets installed with this application.

I need it for an upload, ill also be adding something new this eve to the Z in the music area, but 1st needs the WMA upload.
