I have some problem with my Win2000/ASUS A7N8X-System.
When I start windows normally SFP should start as well. It does but is only in the task manager. No graphical interface.
I cannot reinstall SFP no more and deinstalling doesn't work as well.
Hope somebody can help me

hm.. let me refer to the last 20 topics. All
people who stated severe problems have one thing in common: An asus motherboard and some graphicscard which is not todays standard.
I don“t believe in coincidence.

Hoi naatch,
I'm not familiar with your SFP knowledge, but when you can see sfp.exe in TaskManager, is there an SFP icon in your Taskbar Notification Area (tray)?
Greetings.

thanks for replying..
no it's not in the tray.
Btw, my graphicscard is an ASUS 7100 (Geforce 2MX). Should be OK.
SFP worked until the last boot up. It doesn't seem to be an hardware conflict (I think)

This is what possibly happened... I suspect you saved the StartupProject.pro with some devices and moved one of the devices to another folder. SFP icon doesnt show when its waiting for an dialog box to be answered.
Force-close the sfp.exe from Task Manager, and see if you can start SFP manually. Then, when you have New Project open, open StartupProject.pro and resave it after having fullfilled the dialog box.

By starting manually you mean that I've to go to the SFP/.../bin -folder and double click on sfp.exe?! If yes, then nothing happens. Still the program is only in the task manager.

Yes, or just load SFP from Start Menu, after closing sfp.exe in Task Manager.
Are you getting any warning pop-up or something? What did you do last time it worked? Try to think what settings, if any, you changed.

OK, I solved the problem by changing from w2k to winxp home. Everything runs..
