This is the sound of Thalamus through a miliondollar SSL desk, and tons of vintage gear, and ARG-I-MUST-HAVE outboard.( http://www.sunstudio-int.com/ ) + a supernice Steinway piano used on this recording too. They also have mellotrons, B3, and whatever. I'm gonna be there a WHOLE month (april)

Personally I find this radiomix a bit TOO sqaused and compressed, but the engineer told me that the radio stations would love it, and he know what he's talking about. It will have another mastering on the album version.

There's also a version straight from the console here: http://www.thalamusic.dk/mp3/transfer/I ... E_HIT).mp3

Here's a van halen like version I did for the fun of it: http://www.thalamusic.dk/mp3/transfer/I ... range).mp3

It was a pleasure to have my computer with my SCOPE setup to go through Apogees convertors via lightpipes, and it perfomed without a single flaw. The engineer really liked the sound of the scope plugins and the flexible routing.

Enjoy.

Beautifull song mate,

I always love all the things you post hehe, this mix sounds sooo clean, though I personally agree with you and think it sounds a little squashed in the chorus, but as the engineer said the radio stations will eat it up, they have so much compression in there signal it wont make a difference

This is a has a great vocal and sounds very today if that makes sense? Anyways, as always this tune is another Thalamus masterpiece hehe..

Cheers!

haven't heard this version yet, but i just wanted to say: CONGRATS!!!!

from the very first thalamus song on, i wished for you to have a record deal. i'm suprised it took so long!

too bad, as we at Z probably won't get full versions of noah laux stuff anymore, even with the strategically placed clicks and crackles???
keep us informed!!!

hi there noah!

nice work (again), but one thing is bothering me: there are some high frequency pollution on the vocs, especially noticable on the chorus.. its hurting my ears! a high hiss that really eats my ears... is it mp3 issue? i just notice this on the radiomix, not on THE-HIT version

Thanks for lending a ear, and keeping my happy.

You're share my opinion, piddi... Actually I was to one who insisted on having deesing on the vocals, it has been worse than this. I stand in the position where I got the radiomaster from supercompetent people, and I told my opinion, and they told my it was perfectly super for the radio, but not for an album. SO... I must thrust theese guys...

It's only a couple of months old. I still have this song as one of my favourites. Do these guys have a CD out? Did you get some recognition for this? How do I get a better than 192kHz copy etc etc...?
