I would like any hints as how to use STS samplers for multitrack recording ...
Thats becuase they use 32bit fixed.

i use for record my mix in 32bit
just works well
i hope a day creamware
made a device with only the rec part of the sampler with edit too, cut, delete ,fade,
normalization, peak meter,and more? dedicated to rec in stereo anyway sts3000 can do this.

Right,
As for stereo mixdown should be great.
But what if you use several instances of S3000 or S5000 ?
Could you start recording simultanously on all S3000 (say 4 instances for 8 track recording) ?
Then I would just load the wavefiles into DAW.
I am sure the quality would be much better than just recording straight to DAW.

The problem with the samplers is that they seem to record direct to memory which renders them somewhat useless for recording long wave files.

I don't think they can be synced either.

I thought they could write on disk !
