I just come to read in Fev. UK "Future Music" mag. an interview with Brian Eno (the best "music producer" of all from my favourites) and, certainly, nobody here can say that I'm so wrong.
If you'll read it, I think you'll also understand what I'm meaning!

I've been looking for that magazine lately but it wasn't available at the store. I didn't know Eno was in it. He is a great man and probably way more influential than most people know. He took some bold steps with his ambient music.

There are so many people that would love to have him as a producer. Clearly he is lazy. I don't mean that to seem as in insult. I regard him as one of the best composers living. Did he get any new equipment? Last I heard he was still using his DX7.

Yes, Eno keeps tweaking his 7s but has implementing now to NI FM7 too.
(I could not to not think about if he's advertized about what an SFPscope system and all its last tools like flexor, solaris, python, prodissey, ...the lot, can give for an innovative and explorer musician as, I believe, he is.)
The next CD also will reveal his actual work about innovative treatment around voices with his last prefered toys, some KaossPads.

About him being lazy (slow..., perhaps) I can apparently agree with you tho I shall say, not ever being true, that I'd better quality than quantity.

although i know you mean well, you should know john cooper has had mail before from editors demanding to delete quotes from their books/articles/site content, with the risk of being fined if not...
too bad, because i would have liked to have read as well.

edit: just saw you said 'send you the interview', zezappa. sorry about that. but, still good to know we shouldn't just take other people's writings (quotes, copies,...) to this site...

I don't need it. I just bought the mag .

I must apologise about to be late, but I met hard work to photo the mag at night (when I'm at home) 'cos the flash reflex makes some part impossible to read. There's a scanner where my job is but is damaged and I couldn't make it work today.
I didn't forgot about it, next week I'll send the pages for Samplaire and Borg tho I'm not sure if they're still interested.
I'm sorry to defraud you, but please, believe me.

Here's what I got out of it (In my own words):

He has a small studio with cheap equipment and disks on the wall. He uses a Mackie mixer and Logic audio. He does not use pro studios anymore, instead he has musicians come to his studio. Only 2 keyboards are set up, a DX7 and a Korg Triton (He says he has many synthesizers but he doesn't use them). His favorite synthesizer is the DX7 which he has totally mastered. He wishes that Yamaha evolved it rather than dropping FM synthesis. He also loves a new FM softsynth which has many more operators.
