I work with Cubase SX as midi sequencer to control everything in SFP. Sometimes, the tempo is slowing down or speeding up a bit and the result is anoying. It's maybe my ear->brain perception that is changing.

The same tempo is set in Cubase SX and in all SFP devices as well.

Does someone encountered the same tempo problem. How could I meter the tempo outside Cubase and SFP. Any tip is well appreciated.

Thanks and regards ,

hi

the internal clock in sx is not very ok, according to more post here on Z. Better don't use th midi clock signals from cubase. Instead use the internal clock in pulsar synths.

Hi wilbertenserink,

A little question, how can I send the Pulsar midi clock to CubaseSX instead of setting the tempo in Cubase?

Thanks,

I discovered something else related to my tempo problem.

My ULLI setting was previously set on the highest latency. Altought ULLI setting is intended for ASIO, it impacts SFP when using only midi.

I did set the ULLI to the lowest latency, and I do not have any tempo problem anymore.

It's abnormal that the ULLI setting has an impact on SFP devices.

Strange!!!

I think it's a cubase problem, midi devices in sfp are just there listening...if it was a driver problem lower latency settings wouldn't cure it.
