I just read it. It's a very long review. He seemed to like it. He called the sound of it "exceptional".

I was much more excited about his review of the new Alesis Ion modeling sythesizer in the same issue of EM and the Alesis costs much less. From his review alone I'm considering the Alesis Ion.

The ION seems to be great synth, I hear a lot of people raving about it. Can't really compare it with NOAH of course.

I played the Ion at NAMM....a bit confusing on the user interface, which is not what I expected from first glance.

Sound was...well, very sharp and edgy to me...but there you are at the show, with lots of noise around, and having to use medium quality headphones, so...I'd like to hear it through something like the Mackie 824s before passing judgement.
Certainly the price is great! Just didn't like the interface (for example, you have 3 osc sections, and they are stacked top to bottom in reverse order, 3, 2, 1 ...so, I go to adjust the top row, expecting Osc 1, but it was Osc 3. Not intuitive).

From what I read it's a very original synthesizer. I love that. Too many synths are trying to copy old synths.

How is it original - out of curiosity? I thought it was just another VA synth - but maybe I am missing something. I would be interested in finding out more.

Anyone considering buying a synth from one review in a mag is bound to run into some trouble eventually.

He says the "three Oscilators, dual multimode filters and a fully functional modulation matrix" make it unique in it's price range plus "It sounds great".

ok - maybe unique in its price range - but I am not sure that qualifies as something different or original.

Actually, Noah is much more original with its capability to transform into several different types of synths - not just VA.

It also a good value considering with most synths you don't get that type of flexibility. You would likely have to purchase several different synths to get everything in Noah. Plus you can expand it as new devices are released.
