hi all,

anybody got any clue why cubase sx2 hangs each time I open a project? Working in XTC mode I can only start a project from the scratch. When I save it and open it again sx2 hangs so I can't get into the project anymore. I'm rather new to the xtc thing, so maybe I'm doing something wrong with the asio i/o settings...

regards Wilbert

Maybe that project is corrupt. Are you saving the SFP projects that you are creating from scratch?

Hi
Does it work in normal non XTC mode? I had similar problems when I hadn't got my 'sync' from my ADAT connected correctly.

hi,

its my sx2 files that hang. It doesn't work in normal sfp mode as well.
I also think it might have something to do with a sync problem.

what are your settings in the ASIO config window in cubase??

Try to switch ASIO to another driver (for example to ASIO directx full duplex) and then reopen project. Or set different sample rate and reopen. Once this helped for me in SX2 (but not helped in Nuendo 2).

It could be that your SX install went corrupt. Uninstall, then use regedit to remove all SX / Steinberg keys from the registry. Reboot and reinstall.
