OK this is weird... I used to send MIDI to my Pulsar 2 card by plugging an actual cable to its MIDI IN port.

Everything worked great.

I just sold my A16 Ultra, and of course all my setup was unplugged. Last night I got it all plugged together again, and my Pulsaqr 2 isn't seeing any MIDI message sent to its MIDI IN port anymore

Any idea of what I should be looking for?

My MIDI interface is set to THRU MODE (standalone) and my XV sound module receives the thru messages no problem - the Pulsar 2 isn't.

I tried to plug the MIDI Monitor module to the MIDI A Source, to make sure, and nothing...

Arghh... I am probably missing somethin obvious, thanks for your help guys

I fear a short in the breakout cable since you were shuffling cords around recently. Have you tried moving the MIDI-IN cable or the breakout cable while you send MIDI data in? Do you have access to another breakout cable to verify its not the problem? Have you eliminated the MIDI input cable as a potential problem? Be sure the breakout cable is properly seated in the D-connector. Not much help, but that's all I can think of. Seems unlikely from your info that its a software issue.

False alarm!

I had forgotten to set my SYNC to MASTER on the Pulsar, after removing the A16 Ultra - which was the master then.

Ahh... I can use Minimax again
