I was playing around with some chords and came up with this ... blues is absolutely not my style, but ....
I've used the pulsar gate and comp for the vocal
Celmo's guitar bluesman for guitar and bass and the sts3000 through the D-Comp for the drums.
the hammond is NI's B4

Thanks for the nice words Borg ... especially the thing about uncle Frank :smile:I wouldn't dare to hope for such a comment, he's my all times favourite
by the way - I just remembered ... I didn't use Pulsar gate or comp for the vocal. I started out doin' that, but found it coloured the sound in a way I didn't like, so I used waves instead.

ha! another zappateer

then you must have seen the 'new' baby snakes DVD now too, not? if not, well, only thing i can say is: go and get it now. 2hours and 45 mins of great live action (with one of my other heroes terry bozzio on drums) and absolute crazy animation movies by bickford. ok, the back stage shoots are a bit boring, but it's kept at a minimum.
i'm just waiting for the roxy recordings (4 hours of video shootings!!!) waiting to be released, but it remains a mistery when... 'roxy and elsewhere' is still my favourite. i have always wished to have been there too, and maybe this year i finally will, in a way.
and... i just discovered that at the end of this month, napoleon murphy brock, roy estrada, and other mothers will be doing a concert here in belgium. i hope there are still some tickets...
and there coming to denmark too, i just found out:

Really a super top track!

I enjoyed listening to it very much, yes me too it reminded me of zappa.

Really good recording of the voices.

Guitar was also pretty cool, i felt like it was old school chops (while it isn't) but having a modern edge to it.

Well done, and Keep it up!

nope ... unfortunately I haven't seen the new baby snakes DVD. I do not own a DVD, VCR or even a television. Too much crap *LOL* But I'll go get it, I can watch it on bigscreen at my work
Thanks for the link. If I'm not workin' that night I'll definetly go to Odense to see the show
roberflas
thanks for the comment - appreciated
marcuspocus
thanks man - I'm blushing. The vocals would have bennefitted from a re-take (or ten), but I was recording at home during the christmas holidays, and I hate the fact that my neighbours can hear me as clearly as the mic. I guess your comment was strictly technical - glad you liked it. I'm just writing this to say: "I know I'm no Ray White"

Superb bluesy track, superb playing - it's all been said above.

Does anyone think he sounds a bit like David Bowie in the vocals department?

Again with the comparison stuff - this actually sounded like Jeff Beck playing Zappa (if that's possible) - well until you let fly with the wha-wha , that was VERY Zappa.

I enjoyed the track immensely and makes we wanna run out and get another Strat. (had to sell mine years ago).

Thanks for uploading this - breath of fresh air.

I love Blues... !

Nice voices man... I like very much the guitar playing, it has the feeling.

When I started leastening to your voice, I coudn't help to think about Frank Zappa, inmediately, it is similar in a way. I love Frank as well... Cheer for this and keep going with good music!
