But I was listening to "Boogie on Reggae Woman" earlier today. Awesome playing and awesome sound out of what I can only assume was a MiniMoog that Stevie was playing.
Well, I tried to duplicate the sound and I think I came pretty close (given the age of the recording, tape compression, the differences in digital...blah blah)
Here is a little ditty I put together using the sound. If you are familiar with the SW tune, you will immediately recognize the bass.
Uses:
Minimax (as noted above)
Three-O-Three...for the funky lead
EVP88 from Emagic
EXS24
D-Mute's D-Comp on the vocals (a great compressor by the way!)
Battery
Reason 2.5
Cheers
