I am now doing some professional tracking and mixing. I need larger monitors with a not so big budget. Any suggestion on the Behringer Truth B2031?

you won´t get the "truth" with this monitors!
better go for adam, mackie, genelec or klein § hummel....
go for 2nd hand if your can´t afford them new...

Thanks for an honest opinion Andre.

Agreed, the only truth you will learn from buying behringer products that affect your audio chain is that you will not get great sound for super-cheap.
In my opinion, the cheapest monitors that don't sound like hash are the Event BAS 20/20s and they aren't made anymore. The Mackie HR624s are pretty damn sweet for the money. That'd be my push. I bought the HR824s and they're awesome.
The only thing you really lose going to the 624s is a little low end; like 20Hz-40Hz roll off. Nothing serious unless you're recording some Escalade rocking rap. In which case your screwed and will want a sub to go with whatever you buy.
My $.02

Well appreciated. You Guys saved me future headaches. Either the Event 20/20 Bas or the Mackie 624. Thanks.

i dont´t like the event 2020.
i did one mix on them and i had to correct a lot of things in the later mastering on my mackies....

Yes, that's the miracle.
If I look to this one, I have three of them in front of me, hehe.
But Abre was asking for low budget, you can't really say they are, and you won't find Adams as occasion I guess.
If you have an ADAM, you don't need an Eve anymore, haha

I recommend the PMC TB2 speakers. They have a transmission-line design and sound absolutely huge with stunning detail. They cost around £600 so they are pretty affordable (get a decent 150W per channel amp to drive them).

Damn right.. anything used by Stevie Wonder is good enough for me... not that I have any yet.. I'm still using some KRK K-Rok's (which are also great for the money).. the PMCs are on my long list of things to buy though, along with a nice Hafler P3000 amp (*droooool*).

i still have my old TB-1s (got a good deal from one of the PMC managers when i had a contact there) including a Bryston power amp. The Bryston's are bloody expensive (something like £750 for the lowest model), but they do sound great, last forever and come with a 20 year guarantee, even if you buy one second hand, so you probably save money over the lifetime of the amp.
Only had to replace the tweeters on the TB's once when a mic stand fell on them!

dArKr3zIn, thanks for posting that and thanks for the link Mr Arkadin!
Tt looks like these monitors are what I'm looking for!
I've been looking for a second set of monitors for quite sometime and have a mate that uses the mackie hr824's. I was planning on buying these after all the rave reviews but every time I head over to his studio and listen to them, I like them less and less! Not because they sound bad but because mixes that sound average on my current monitors seem to sound better on the hr824's which is not good and not what I'm after!
My current monitors are actually kit built using 2 x 5" vifa drivers and have the exact same dome tweeter as the TB2's. They are actually very good at showing up problems in a mix, which is why I'm still using them after 5 yrs, but they lack bass and I always have to keep that in mind.
Although I'll still use my current monitors for their "honesty", the TB2's could be a good compliment (for the low end) and the added bonus of both using the exact same dome tweeters means I wouldn't have to re-learn the high end!

I have a pair of Yamaha NS-10m - I don't know enough about these things to recommend anything, so I'll just ask a question instead: If I were to find the money somewhere, which subwoofer should I buy? I really havn't got any money so any decent lowend suggestions would be nice. I only seem to be able to find the Genelec 1092A, which even secondhand is a bit expensive in my opinion/situation.
Or maybe the solution would be to simply get a new pair of monitors which have the lowend that I need?
I dunno - what do you think? Should I get a subwoofer or go for a different set of monitors?

All those with NS-10ms stand at the back of the classroom facing the wall. Stay after school and write 100 lines "I will buy some decent monitors one day..."
Couple of reviews for you in Sound On Sound,
TB-2s and the smaller
DB-1s
