How can I record an external source (scope analogue source) in cubase when in XTC mode?

I don't know what to do to get the analogue source in Cubase. (It's present in my XTC project, however)

I had to push 'reload i/o settings' in the control panel.
Your suggestion pointed me in the right direction.
