i recently formatted and reinstalled xp according to the tweaking process at http://www.musicxp.net
(sfp 3.1 worked fine before, when it wasn't tweaked - not standard pc mode etc..)

neither
http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... 80&forum=1 or http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... 74&forum=1 could help me

after i installed and tweaked up.. i installed the drivers manually, and continued the install process.. it all worked fine... (no errors with drivers/registry) but as soon as i hit "run sfp" it gives me an error

"Cannot start Scope Fusion Platform:
(error code 0001)"

huh???

i tried ignoring it and updating to 3.1c..
still the same message..
i also installed the latest aspi drivers (4.71.2)

can someone please help me with this?

edit: oh yeah, this is running on a powersampler I.. luna ii card that came with 3.01 software

i also checked to see if the card was seated well.. it seems to be.. it's detected without a problem in device manager...
usually if the card doesn't sit right i get "hardware version 16 not detected" or something similar... and i can't even run the install program...
in this case i already finished the install procedure, and it won't run...

all replies are welcome..

p.s. this is becoming frustrating

Are you trying to install from a folder with simple structure, like E:SFP ? Try not to make long recursive directories. although those work for some, it's fail-safe to install from a simple directory (see manual)

yes that's what i did.. i installed to d:sfp..

i also noticed that if i change the compatibility for the application (right click, compatibility tab, run this program in compatibility for win95, win98/me, winnt4, win2000) it changes the message..

i get "hardware version 16 detected" on win98/me and winnt.. but on win2000 i get the message i previously mentioned..

i don't know what this means.. but it is quite frustrating..

ok it works! i don't know what the problem was technically.. but the solution was to just download the 3.1c software from creamware's site.. i was stumbling with the 3.1a and 3.1c update that were on my hdd..

but i got the new bundle and it worked first time! well i'm really glad now
on to the music making !!
