I have just purchased the Minimax synth (which is superb I might add), however there is one small problem. The switches don't seem to save the MIDI controls assigned to them. This is quite infuriating as I can't make a proper template for my novation remote 25.

Any help/feedback would be great.

Thanx

When you've assigned the switches etc. are you saving the template in the MIDI Controler (sic) Bank in the Presets File?

No - I'm just saving the entire project. I thought that this saved all settings within the project

Not sure, never tried it that way. Try saving your template to the MIDI Controler Bank first, then saving the Project and reload your Project and see if that works. If it doesn't work at least you can reload the template quickly from the Presets window.

Just tried that - but still no go.

It always just comes back with no MIDI assigned to the switches.

I just loaded the miniscope into the same project and assigned a controler to a switch on that and it works fine, however the minimax still restarts with no MIDI assigned to the switches.

Its unfortunately looking more and more like a bug to me!

Yes. It's a nasty bug that I'm battling with two years later. I just emailed Creamware, so hopefully it will be fixed in the next release.

i've found on this site (the manufacturers of midimax controller) a minimax update, i think because the controller have the same knobs and switches of the minimax asb so this fix the bug with switches.
I,ve done the minimax update and now it's ok

download the creamware minimax.zip, open it and place the MultiSegCtrlInterpMoog.dsp in the app/dsp folder (overwrite the existing one), place the Button2.pep in app/script folder (replace the existing one) and overwrite the minimax.dev .
Now all the controller assignments are stored with project and presets

Wow! I'm sure glad I resurrected this two year old thread

Thanks, djmicron! Does this only fix Minimax? I wonder if there are fixes for the rest of the synths.

On the same site, right above the Minimax update link, there is also a preset-bank file that has MIDI banks made to work with MIDIMAX controller that also work with NOAH, I didn't check it yet, but it must be a fast way to assign the same controllers as the fixed ones in Noah.....that could be an easy way to exchange sound presets between Scope and Noah Minimaxes with a MIDI connection.

I applied the fix to Minimax and ALL of my controller settings magically appeared! I didn't even have to re-learn them. This means that they ARE saved. For some reason SFP just doesn't recognize them. I sure hope they apply this fix to the other synths. I'm getting tired of mapping my pedal to slow/fast rotor speed everytime I load B-2003.

Update: Ah.. whataya know.. it fixes the Pro-12 also

Yeah, sarĂ  un buon Natale! =)
Now I have all plugs (no six-strings, but I really don't care...) and I'm very very happy that all people can receive the full pack upgrade like me!!!
Maybe I was the first customer with this privilege =) =) =)
What a surprize!

Buon Natale =)

Why would Creamware make an bugfixed update for Minimax and then not tell anybody??

I was thinking the same thing. I emailed them yesterday asking why they didn't include this fix in 4.5 and why they don't implement it for the other synths that exhibit this behavior. I've only verified the fix with Minimax and Pro-12. I know B-2003 isn't fix. I haven't tested any other synths yet.
