I forgot to say that this track is a further developed "Lab2", which has been posted here before.

I have made the bassdrum softer and less snappy - according to Borg's wishes. ANd I have thrown more stuff in there to satisfy the complicated brain of Thalamus

Actually I don't think that this one is quite finished yet, but for some reason I don't feel like working on it anymore, so therefore I posted it to see if that would provoke a new interest in the track.

Nice and glitchy but at the same time very very atmospheric, almost film-like. I could see images in my head for sure.

Hey Petal,

Please don't add stuff to your wonderful minimalistic universes for my sake.

This piece have SUPER details such as the "screaming" at 1:21, and the stick sound that wash out in a grainy reverb at 2:10, my hairs are raising on my arms.

My only complain would be that things are a little too compact, you could easely expand the track to 6 minutes and beyond.

Feel sad that you lost your interrest, this is VERY cool stuff.

It was always the intention to add more stuff in there. This is a two step process. The first step was Lab2 with the raw synth stuff. Step two, was to export each instrumet and manipulate them in Max/MSP in a granular sampling-patch. Then cut out the interesing parts of these manipulations and add these bit's and pieces where they seemed to fit in on the original track and maybe do a bit off additional manipulation, mostly pitchshifting and timestrechting.

I think I'm gonna let this one rest for a while though and look at the Max-manipulated pieces of audio and see what I can come up with using only those - and maybe try to give those other Vectron-patches a run through Max/MSP too.

Fantascit! I was at night, sitting by some wood fire, in a very hot place in the middle of nature... kind of enjoying a peaceful moment, getting ready to eat something cool... I really enjoyed this one.

The perception the composer has in regard to his own music, and sometimes be very subjective due to the fact that he is all the time in touch with his recently created material. I think you do well leastening to what others say, I apreciate it much that you have chenged your song twice to go where our partners here suggested you to go. I think this is a great way to learn... opening yourself to many more ears.

Nice to hear that you like the track

Yup it's quite difficult to have an objective opinion about your own music, which is why I usually let a track rest for a while - that way I'll be more honest to myself and the track, in my immidiate reaction when I listen to it again - flaws or obscure ideas tend to stick out, if you haven't listened to your own track for a few days or preferable more.

But nothing beats other parties critique of your own music. I find it quite interesting, because people often hear things in a track that I have never noticed myself
