This patch - beausibling - is brought to life through the same composition as "beau" with a touch of masterverb and normalisation.
This patch isn't as interesting as beau, but I felt like posting this sample anyway.
Enjoy!

man, really great pad action. 2 in a row! I usually just think of pads as lowpassed saw waves, but these tunes really take it to a new level. Maybe I should fool around with wavetable synthesis a bit more. beatifull textures! Really like the shimmer on this.

Hi Ken
I'm happy to hear that you liked it
Actually I don't think it's the wavetables that are the main reason for these rich-textured patches, but more the vector-synthesis in the Vectron, fading in and out of the four different soundsources, which I have tuned in thirds, fifths and sevenths.
That Vectron is a true ambientbeast when it comes to these kinds of sounds!
Cheers!

I find these sounds quite inspiring too! Rich, textured, meditative and calming... It makes me want to explore these types of sonic landscapes... Could you teach us a little more how you achieved it? I'd be interested to patch it on the mod2 if you explain the concept to me. And it makes me think that this type of "meditative" composition could be the next planetZ composition contest! Yes!!!
The requirements could be:
-only cw devices used
-analog source sounds permitted(cw processing only)
-meditative mood
-no heavy percussive tracks or loops
-...
Gee... we could make a meditative pZ compilation record with the pieces submitted! Awesome!
Wow! I'm all thrilled! What do you say?

Thanks for the enthusiasm.
About how to make these kinds of sounds, I think that very slow LFO's are one way to make them - slowly evolving sounds.
I used both the chorus and delay-effect on the Vectron to achieve a fuller sound. And a Masterverb in the end of the chain.
And one important thing I think, is the Vectron fading in an out of the 4 soundsources. I believe this can be achieved in Modular too, with the "quadXfade"-module.
A contest would be nice, but I think that the time is Flexors at the moment, so let's save the ambient-patch-contest for a while, and define the rules for a Flexor-contest instead.
Cheers!

goo idea, let's absorb flexor some more (or at all) and then we'll start the contest.

very nice and relaxing indeed...
It reminded me a lot of the music in the PC videogame Homeworld. Have you ever played that?

sorry for the late reply - Well I've played Homeworld 2 but that was about 3 years ago - And I didn't remember the music from that game, but I went to their website and checked it out, and I hear what you mean...

My subconsience must have picked that one up after all!!
Thanks for the interest!
Cheers!

Wow - Thanks for the enthusiastic review Nestor

And yes the Vectron is a truely beautiful but underrated synth, which is why I made these two sound-examples in the first place.
If you like this one maybe you should check this one out too:

It the same five notes but a different patch.
Cheers!
