im trying to install winxp on my machine:
pIII 1ghz, 512ram, 40 gig disk (3 partitions)pulsarII.
all worked fine on win 98.
i installed winxp in standard mode+aspi drivers+sp1. now when io want to install cw driver the computer restarts and the driver won't install.
any ideass??
in the meantime i'll reinstall xp

Do you mean that you are trying to install the drivers for your pulsar2 board, but that it doesen't work ?

If this is the case :
When installing CW drivers in Windows XP, you should not try to install the drivers manually. Just run the SFP install and the software will detect that drivers for your card needs to be installed(or updated). When SFP soft asks if you want it to install the drivers then just klick "OK" =)

SFP will now install the drivers, reboot your system and then you can proceed to install the SFP software.

Sometimes in Win XP you have to install the drivers in this manner. You might be one of us more unfortunate users that has to. :smile:

You might also try disabling devices that you do not use, like USB. Plug & Play might be good to disable within the BIOS as well.

I agree !!!

Strip your DAW as much as you can (stuff that you wont need) I believe this is the first rule for all CW users.
