No idea, but did you install with ACPI? If you did, you should have extra IRQ's. I don't have ACPI on my machine and it works fine.
Maybe you can try swapping the PCI slot on the card.

Maybe a solution here:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treevi ... p_hwpg.asp
Hope this helps
Edit: McAfee anti-virus seems to have issues with Windows. Do you that installed?

No i don't have ACPI, but thanx for the tip =)
And swapping PCI slots wont work. I'll be posting a picture here on planetZ soon to show why....you' see...
Nope i don't have McAfee installed. I don't have any virus programs on my DAW.
i Usually scan my DAW from another computer. And i allways scan everything i put in my DAW like programs, samples etc. for virus.
But the link was a bit helpfull thought

it made me remember something....
Erlier i spoke to At0mic and he told me to deactivate USB suport. I told him that it was the first thing i did before installing my cards. Thats true...but...eh..i reactivated them..about 6 months ago to import some samples a friend....whatever..
The point is..i never deactivated them again. And i've only had the problem for like 6 moths now....do you also se a pattern of jackass behaviour from my part ? I do...
I guess im the Jackass king on planetZ huh ?
Anyway. This might still not solve my problem. I'll sure tell you if it doesen't.
Thanx for you assistance.
As usuall, splendid !!!

Some (more) info here:
http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000365.htm
Do you use a SCSI sub-system? Re-installing your SCSI driver(s) may help.
Do you have a network card? Try removing it and its drivers from the system.
Also, I'd re-install your Creamware cards + drivers, make sure the CW card is inserted correctly into the slot etc. Try removing all other PCI cards and their associated drivers.
You may potentially be looking at a hardware issue if none of the above has a positive effect.
What is your set-up /computer configuration, by the way?
Regards,
Royston

Maybe this is too basic and you've already done it, but several times when I've had problems I've simply re-installed XP and the problem has vanished.
Try it. No user files are lost.
otherwise instead you might try a "sfc /scannow" (note space) at the run prompt to ensure all Windows protected files are intact and not corrupted.

also, try setting the irq for each of the PCI slots manually in the BIOS, and turn Plug 'n Play off. That solved it for me. My DSP Factory used to have that problem but now it's running fine.

The underlying problem is that you've got unauthorised (/protected) kernel-level memory access.
If the problem's just arisen (i.e. things were OK before) then you've most likely got a corrupt driver or hardware. The driver could certainly be part of the XP system, or else is third-party hardware specific. It's also possible that it's a driver bug, or problems between two drivers, that's less likely.
Re-installing XP's not a bad idea as Spirit indicated and shouldn't hurt anything.

whoa..
Alot of info here =)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Interloper: Thanx for your Kind words =)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
paulrmartin & counterparts: Iv'e checked the INFO links you've provided here and now i have read it more toughroughly. What i forgot to do when the problem ocurred was to write down the dump adress etc. =( So now i'll have to wait for a error to ocur before i know excactly what the problem is. damn =(
But i do concure with your last post Royston and i will take Spirits (and your) advice and reinstall Win XP.
Then i will reinstall my cards and remove the Network card. ohyeah.. i don't use a SCSI system btw.

Spirit:

Kensuguro: believe me iv'e tried this before, and iv'e never succeeded. When trying i end up with a ***** configuration and none of my cards will work.
I admire those of you that can do this =)

This is a driver problem.Do you have something installed that is not using it's own driver and a Microsoft one.Try disabling any card or port you aren't using then see if it happens.
Hope that helps.

whoa, congrats dude! I can certainly relate to the joy that one feels when he gets rid of these strange "seemingly endless" PC mysteries.
