When I try to change the asio settings, for instance changing the numbers of I/Os or change the asio device my computer suddenly reboots. Any ideas?

What OS are you running?
What sequencer do you run?
Do you change the asio configuration with the sequencer running?

Im using Windows XP. Im not trying to change asio settings while a sequencer is started. The original reason to why i want to change asio settings is beacuse Im trying to fix an error in fruityloops. I only hear one channel from fruitys output. It's hard to explain. Anyway, I should be able to choose more asio outputs without restarting the computer. It's probably a bad install. But Im tired of installing stuff. When is 4.0 coming?

My guess is corrupt ASIO modules inside the project. Can you delete the ASIO2 and switch to ASIO, or does that make your computer crash too? Have you tried loading proven-to-work or old projects?

Has it worked fine, and when did it start to go wrong?

Ive reinstalled now. The problem remains. It seems to reboot every time I change the number of asio outputs. For instance, I just tried to load one of the project examples. Everything works fine til I start an asio dest (apperantly doesnt matter if its asio 1 or 2) and try to change the number of channels. Bam reboot. Could installation of a firewall trigger something like this?

Now its working though. Shows that my first uninstall didnt uninstall everything. Some thing had to be removed by hand. After that reinstall fixed the problem.

NO firewalls and/or antivirus when using sfp!

Why's that?
I always leave firewall and anti-virus running, they don't cause me trouble...
