Hi there,

Is this kinda "traditional" ukrain"ish"?

Like it, whatever it is, and I really dig the song and your voice in particular. It's melancholic and uplifting at the same time, very rare to my ears.

I ran it through PsyQ and Optimaster and got a much more profined bass and got the vocals to come out a little more. The basic sound is quite good I think, but theres a little too much "mud" in the 300-600 hz area + the treble could bennefit from a little shelf lift. The trumpet sounds awesome, perfect reverb choice.

What mic/compressor did you use for the vocals, if I could ask so freely?

BTW, did you noticed I send you a private message here at Z?

Hello there

I really liked that! I agree with Thalamus' thoughts regarding the melancholy/uplift blend (something L Cohen does so well). The song overall has a very complete feel to it.

On the critical side, perhaps there's a little too much shared frequencies between the rhythm guitar, vocals and percussion. The bass could have a little more presence too.

Tremolo on the guitar?

Regards,

Royston
