Yeah yeah King. Have you thought of the possibillity, that they have decided to sell a fixed number of units at the reduced price?

I'm sure the "while quantity lasts" bit was for the hardware offers, not the plugins.
Still, I do think a lot of these CW offers have an air of strangeness over them....why just America and Canada?

I would have to hazard a guess, but I suspect it might be because Creamware is very well represented in Europe (& Israel) but the US has seen most large chains relegate CW to the status of 'special order' because its not a simple soundcard or synth. Every GuitarCenter/SamAsh etc. that I've been in and asked about Creamware cards since I got my first card in 1999 has resulted in a blank stare in return from the sales staff in the stores. Meanwhile they seem to love to push the Digi01 my way (they even seem under the impression that it runs the same pro tools version as used in 'real studios').

Creamware, I've been happy to note, has made great inroads into SoS and now even FM lately, but I have yet to see the merest mention in ANY of the US rags in the last 3-4 years. Some good P/R in the US/Canada is definately a good thing for Creamware overall. Its too bad that Europeans aren't included in this specific deal but I would think anything that helps give a long healthy life to this product line should make us all happy in the end... (remember the Korg Oasys).

I dunno if it's comparable to the US market, but currently we have some pretty good specials in Europe, too.

Hi everyone,

Let me try to clarify some things up.

1.The reason for the specials being only for the US and Canadian dealers is because as the CreamWare Distributor for North America, We can only acquire a certain amount of plug-ins as a give away. As for the hardware until we run out of stock.

2.Customers from outside the USA and Canada who buy from our dealers will certainly qualify for this special.

3.Sticky??? It will only be a sticky till the end of the month.

I still think it would be nice if general awareness about Creamware products was higher here in the US.

I think those deals are very nice.

Also, Guitar Center is like the Wal-Mart of music gear, along with the crappy service. You really have to understand the potential of this platform in order to market and sell it properly. They are more concerned about volume and will take it anyway they can get it.

About the P/R or general awareness in the US, I believe that is already being addressed by Creamware and will be realized shortly.

I agree with you completely about Guitar Center. The only thing I buy there is Sound on Sound (and the odd cable), SoS's sticker price there is about $5 less than any magazine shop since its an 'import'.

Its an unfortunate aspect of modern US culture that the majority of music retailers are interested only in bulk sales, the good ones take time to find. Glad to hear good things are in the works for CW's visibility stateside, having to constantly explain what my system is to every person I work with is sometimes frustrating...("so is it pro tools?" "NO!"-hehe).

it's probably the same as here in Germany. As a magazine retailer you can return unsold local ones, but of course not the foreign mags.
I'm still a bit under the influence of those prices as it's hard for me to get rid of the old stuff - ahhh that costed me a fortune :lol:
