For those that don't get it:
ARCADIOS wrote: 1. nobody claims that soniccore should provide updates free for ever.
Oh yes they do...
Shot wrote:I searched through here
and I can't believe noone mentioned...

THEY ARE STILL CHARGING US FOR THE NEW DRIVERS !!!
Then...
Burnin3styleFingaz wrote: So the result to pay an Update is for me ONLY THE DRIVERS.
And dont say "But you are paying for the Enhanced Stability...bla bla" .."I dont want to Pay for it"
"I PAYED FOR THE SYSTEMSOFTWARE CONCEPT & EVERY CODE IN IT YEARS EARLIER"
If you say "And what about other "not free" Softwares like Cubase Updates etc?" The Reasons to make it "more" Sellable are new options or things like Halion one, Reverbe..., & other new Plugins and at last Workflow Optimizations and its not Hardware Oriented.

-If I buy a Midi Controller like M-Audio Axiom ..I get the Updates for free...Forever...
because I payed for the Hardware & the System Software in it.
-If I buy a Antivirus Software...I get the Updates (Virus Definitions) for free

The word Axiom explains everything.

Besides the fact that I can point out numerous m-audio products (and products from companies Avid/M-audio absorbed, "rolled into" m-audio productline and then dropped) that have no support anymore...

The fact that they can't afford the drivers is heart breaking though. But hey, 64bit is no big deal, just a little more RAM.
very true and 64bit could be hell of pain if you use different cards from different companies. if i xp can run over Icore7 and with 4gb ddr3 + ssd can be great setup :)

Jesus christ. It's the way it is. People need to make money for their efforts. You have to pay for what you want (which may be just the drivers), as it's reasonable, and be happy that you get anything for free, ever. If you want abby road studios living inside your computer, get a Sonic Core Xite-1 and stop moaning.

(To sum up what the thread starter seems to be expecting)
Hi.. "I paid for a new computer and the brand new Windows 7 OS, can you make this amazing thing i own (which was made to work perfectly with an older OS) work on it for free please." :-?
