Unfortunately, D*S brought their accusations publicly and started this shit storm. For those involved it's a matter of integrity because their honesty has been attacked without any proof by these clowns. Where is this going? Will they ever retract if they don't have proof of what they claim? I mean that's the big point, they never retracted after using abusive and insulting language, they never retracted after treating sdk developers as if they were complete stupid clueless morons, they NEVER apoligized for ANYTHING of all the crap they've thrown around here.

WHY, OH WHY ARE THEY STILL POLLUTING THIS FORUM WITH THEIR NEGATIVITY? This is beyond me. Do we need to start a petition to kick these imbeciles (not intended as an insult, they have earned the title!) out of our friendly community? If they can't regulate themselves, then who will?

trust me, im not waliking in a haze of eternal happiness and ying yang, and i completly agree to most points made by astro and the others involved.

However, unless there is a forest burning, fighting fire with fire seldom works, and throwing "imbecile", "incompetent", "pathetic" etc. is more like fuel than water in a situation like this. Everybody knows what the reaction is going to be, some even makes a point of that afterwards. And that is not directed at you astro, just to make that clear

everybody knows what happens when the shit hits the fan. This seems more like an experiment as to what happens when you place to large fans against each other and drop a big piece of manure right inbetween.

yes Piddi, I know that such statements like 'incompetence' are certainly not appreciated by Eric.
Nevertheless they are honest and most of all they are not simply out of the blue to diss someone.

I have arguments for my point of view and almost 20 years of experience in developement and support under 'live' conditions.

In a hospital you cannot fiddle around, if the mothercompany of BMG has a network problem it has to be solved and if you're responsible for the technical background of a presentation in front of the supervisory board of a multi billion Euro company, you will not want to spoil the job.
May I brag a little and add that after the event we were told '...this was the first time without mishaps' (this was several years ago - today you'd just laugh about it)
And I know at least one case where the diagnostic image aquisition system I designed saved a real life, because it showed signs of early cancer that would have been overlooked otherwise.

in all these experiences a character like Eric's would have been the end of the project, or at least extremely counterproductive - I say this without any negative undertone - it's simply a matter of fact - you got to keep control whatever happens - there will be plenty around you loosing their nerves anyway
As a programmer you constantly have to expand your own knowledge and experience - respect (and sometimes even admiration) may come as a result after you succeeded, but they are a bad driving force ...

Eric may eventually benefit by learning something about himself, which he will of course straightly refuse and deny that he's even in need of any 'teaching' - I don't mind at all

i did not know that das has left planetz, so if he can not reply here i prefer to remove the content of the previous reply, but anyway i'm disappointed about the copy and paste about a mail with my signature and i dissociate myself about everything related to accusing people to be hackers, pirates, delinquents and so on and of course he have accused and insulted me too.....
