because it's the current version that new cards come with. that's the reason it's not called 5.0.

I take it all back. Groks just pointed out that Scope 4.5 IS FREE
Just installed it. Didn't cost a penny.
First noticable change was the XTC I/O Enabler that popped up just before you get the option to finish or start Scope ... something new
FREE FREE FREE

I'm wondering now it's clear this is not an update if it's possible to install the new plugins if I do get this but without installing the whole 4.5 package as essentially it's just a reinstall of what I already have and I'm not sure that would be a good idea if I don't need to do that.
Unless that is there are changes under the hood we should be aware of.

That's exactly what I did. Just waiting to find out if 4.5 has anything new. I'm 99.99% sure now that it doesn't, but we haven't gotten a definitive word from Creamware.

not much. there are MADI modules available now.....
i doubt if the upgrade would make any functional problems. back in win98 days, a corrupt file was often fixed by applying the lastest update.......

Thank you for this free v4.5 update, Creamware !...
Just installed it.
Will certainly take advantage of the "v4.5 Upgrade offer". Hoping an individualized offer can be done (I already have almost all plugins; the last plugins that I haven't, for which I have no real need, are separated in several offers, mixed with all those I already have).
Thank you again.
Best regards,
Grok

So, now, everyone can see that fairness prevails like always.

For those who need further explanations: the v4.0 key is the key for v4.5.

Like that, I think that any potential confusion is removed.
